When we packed up our Seattle home in August, I left behind my sewing machine and a pile of fabric in anticipation of a season alone in the empty house. Though I guessed at the need for busy fingers and bright colors during dark and anxious months, I had no idea just how much of a companion this project would become. Bound and photographed at our new home in Stockholm, Sweden.
