Newsprint-paper braid, bamboo handles, waxed linen thread.
This packing paper sailed from Seattle to Stockholm, a protective layer on all our things. It felt good to smooth and stack it in those early underwater days as I emptied boxes, and it feels good to see it in this form now, like it was always meant to be braided and stitched into this strange vessel.
